Hi, I’m Ciar. I’ve been a journalist since the days of copy-takers and paper cuttings libraries. Ten years ago I decided to retrain in horticulture and garden design and now I write about gardening for the Daily Mail and The Lady among other publications. I have a medium sized back garden in a country town in Sussex as well as an allotment on the beautiful South Downs near my home, where I get to put my philosophy of half wild gardening into practice.
